Yesterday we covered the heart of the book of Esther at Palmetto Shores Church. In chapter 6, Mordecai, who has been down in the dust of shame and ashes, is sovereignly raised up by God to glory. In the most ironic twist, Haman, his enemy, is commanded to parade Mordecai around the city on the king’s horse.
While we are reminded of our own future glory, more importantly we are reminded of the glory of Jesus. This is clearly displayed in 1 Peter 1:11, where Peter tells us about, “the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories.” Jesus is the true pattern and the ultimate pioneer of suffering and then glory. And through His death and glorious resurrection, He is bringing many sons to glory with Him.
The Lord Bless You
