Happy Easter!
This weekend was really wonderful. My son Benjamin turned 5 years old on Friday. I am amazed by his personality and how he is growing in ways that are a delight to our family. 5 YEARS! Amazing.
And then yesterday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. We mentioned at Palmetto Shores Church yesterday that we celebrate the resurrection every Sunday. But, we do especially focus on the resurrection every year at Easter. It is so good for my heart to be filled with the hope of what Jesus has done.
As Romans 8:34 puts it, “Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” What could be “more” than the death of Jesus? Only the resurrection of Jesus! He defeats our enemies, removes our guilt, and proves to our weak hearts that God is absolutely for us. This is eternally transformative.
